This training is designed for people who are not electrical professionals but may work near electrical equipment or live parts as part of their duties.
An ordinary person becomes an instructed person after receiving sufficient task-specific and workplace-specific instruction from qualified electrical professionals. This instruction helps them recognise electrical hazards and work safely in their assigned tasks.
This training supports the employer’s instruction programme by covering the general SFS 6002:2025 electrical safety training required for instructed persons. Workplace-specific instruction, competence verification, and documentation must be completed separately by the employer.

The training of an instructed person in electrical work safety covers only limited tasks authorised by a professional electrician at the workplace.
A professional carrying out electrical work must complete the more extensive Electrical Work Safety Training or one of our other electrical work safety training courses, as required by the job.
No, the general electrical safety training is for qualified professionals working with e.g. electrical installations. This course is not meant for qualified professionals working with electricity.
