Kela (the Social Insurance Institution of Finland) Reimbursement
Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, employers are responsible for ensuring that first aid arrangements are in place in the workplace.
First aid training is an important part of preventive occupational healthcare. Employers may be eligible for reimbursement of necessary and reasonable costs related to occupational healthcare and medical care. These costs can also include expenses arising from organising first aid training for employees.
The Kela reimbursement can cover up to 60% of the training costs. All our first aid courses meet Kela’s requirements:
- The company must have statutory occupational healthcare services in place in order to apply for reimbursement.
- The occupational healthcare action plan must state that first aid training is provided for employees. Please note that the training does not need to be purchased from your occupational healthcare provider in order to qualify for reimbursement.
- The first aid trainer must be a healthcare professional with additional first aid instructor training.
- All our first aid instructors have the required qualifications.
-
The reimbursement is available up to 60%, subject to the annual maximum amount and Kela’s decision.
